Jerome Zeiger’s musical journey began in the heyday of the Chicago blues scene when he played harmonica with the likes of Koko Taylor, Son Seals, Magic Slim, and a number of other luminaries. In addition to his blues band stints, he began soloing on the coffeehouse circuit, accompanying his compositions with acoustic guitar and his harmonica. His blues harp, fingerpicking, and electric guitar skills have found him doing studio work in Los Angeles and San Francisco. He has also scored a regional theater production, and a song of his was featured in a documentary for National Geographic. Comfortable in just about every roots music idiom, Jerome is known for his let-loose vocal style, poetic lyrics, and humorous and engaging stage patter. After a few decades in California and a stint in Austin, Texas, he has recently relocated to Portland, Oregon. He is currently in pre-production for his upcoming recording for a full length album, and can be found playing his original tunes or blues covers for live shows around his home city.
